So are any of you guys having any luck getting your exaust donuts replaced under the yes warranty on the nytro, called the dealer and they said that they will probably not be able to repair under warranty, yes warranty = no I swear :die

Mine were all replaced last year under my YES warranty. No questions asked!!

Mine were replaced under warranty...call Yamaha USA.

Well maybe I was talking to someone on the phone that didnt no what he was talking about,he did say that the lower balljoints probably would be just dont make since to me

Ball joints should be done too..............

For whatever reason warranty's specifically YES is the most inconsistent warranty I've ever delt with on anything. More often than not it seems to come down to the dealer, I can only guess that it has to do with the time they put in, and what they get paid for said time. If there shop is busy enough they probably don't want to deal with it, I'm sure Yamaha pays a reduced rate for labor. Bottom line is that this is we're your choice in dealer is crucial. The dealer that's twenty minutes from me, no luck, so I drive two hours to purchase, get warranty and service work done. Which is we're it becomes a financial game. Is it worth time, fuel, etc. to or just pay for the part myself and be done with it.

Aside from the dealer aspect, it seems even Yamaha's decision on what to warranty is completely liquid. You come on here and read about someone getting this or that warranty'd, talk to a dealer and the response is "Yamaha said no it's a wear item". No consistancy at all, it's very frusterating and I basically deemed YES to be a waste of money, if it's included in the purchase why not but to pay for it, waste.

As for the donuts, they should be covered, it's an exhaust component, and to my understanding, even if you didn't have YES it should still be covered as it relates to the EPA. Your particular instance is either dealer not wanting to deal with it ( it can be a nightmare to change these out) or the person you talked to just didn't know.

Well I was thinking might as well get them warrentied once then in two or three more years I would get the copper ones,i was just going to let yamaha pay for them since the sled is under warranty.

If you do your own work, might be worth just going with the copper ones, if you pay to have your sled fixed, let Yamaha cover it. They need to fix as many of these as possible, them maybe they'll change the design. Buy the way two to three years is pretty good, I would be lucky to get a season.

If they wont cover it I will do the work myself and get the copper, but im hoping they will cover it by the yes warranty.although I dont want other people working on my sled.since I've been a small engine tech all my life and wrench for a living the past 15 years.

Know the feeling about others wrenching on my sled. Another reason I drove two+ hours to get warranty work done, reputable shop. I still went through it after picking it up and everything was always done correctly.

Ya I will be doing the same thing, the dealer im taking it to wont take sleds in till the end of october which dont seem right when its still under warranty, but they are probly swamped doing jetski winterizations,,sure hope I can get it done befor the first good snow which might come early this year.i hope
