I'm looking to replace the stock Carbides on my 2015 R-TX-DX to get through the rest of this season. I'm only at 300 miles on the ODO with little snow in this region and only one 2day trip. I have the suspension dialed in pretty good for stock setup, but the carbides are not doing their job and limiting my cornering. I plan to Stud the track for next season but for now need some improved ski control on light loose to packed trails. I'm going to stick with the stock tuners since I spend little time in loose snow and most time on groomed or loose packed trail conditions. I'm thinking dual 8". I can break the out the rear of the sled under acceleration but the stock carbides are pretty useless especially on pavement/asphalt crossings as far as steering even with pressure on the skis.
Please advise on suggestion for inside/outside carbide/bars and something that works well for you.
Thanks!

I use four Woody's 6in singles. Have 2000 miles on them and am very happy.

No stud on mine, running Stud boy shapers 4.5 inch on both in side an outside. Turns great. If studded, I'd move up to 6 or 8 inch.

Thanks guys. I picked up dual Stud boy shapers 6 inch today. My dealer also recommended the 6 inch knowing I will stud the track soon. He thought the 6 inch would bridge the no stud/stud transition if I get out some more without the studs. Thanks for your input, I'll get the new carbides on tomorrow and if we ever get some snow I'll check in with my experience. I'll feel a lot better with some decent carbides installed, it was getting borderline dangerous with a single 4" stock carbide. I'm thinking I'll go with the 96 stud configuration to start with too. I have the sled dialed in pretty good setup wise but couldn't do much more without the carbides as many experienced viperites had suggested.
Thanks again for the input, really helps!
