What do you mean "move clip to 3rd notch"?

Hi all yamdudes i no this subject has been talked about alot but iam not sure by when u guys say move the clip to the third knotch can someone please explain 2 me whats that means and where this clip is located any pics would be great thxs all .... btw i have a 2006 apex er ...

Just search c-clip or look over in the stock suspension forum and scroll through the topics until you see something about the c-clips. This has been talked about alot before.

Briefly, there are 3 rings that the spring can seat on, the farthest one naturally being the softest setting. I moved mine up to groove 2 last year...using a couple of nylon ratchet straps to compress springs..cheap and dirty but it works.
