Just currious. I rode this last week in Houghton. On the good packed trails with a long stright I was hitting about 105 on the speedo and that showed a max speed of 93.7 on the GPS. How long does it take to get much more speed after that. I would get up to about 100 pretty quick and then gradually get up to 103-105. I didnt feel like I was gaining anymore speed after that so I did not hold it open for a real long time. I have heard a lot of people on hear talk about getting a lot more speed then that. PS I am about 195 LBS and the sled is bone stock. Had a full service this year and have new Hyfax's.
It sure did feel good to rip past my brother in law on his 600 ho Rev like he was sitting still at about 90 on the speedo.

Was in Minocqua on Saturday with another Total Yamaha guy (05' Warrior) and he hit 116 on the dreamometer which translates to 100.3 on the GPS.
Not bad you just need a mile of consistant semi- packed snow. Interesting fact, after racing across the lakes we came to describe the abilty to brake rapidly by standing up as "parachute breaking" Next time your at the 100 plus let off the gas and stand up, the amount of drag you create at 100 MPH is huge and you stop suddenly.

You need to find your shift out speed(full throttle RPM),should be 10,200-10,400 depending on who you talk to.Stock clutching mine was way low,and my speedo struggled to top 103.Bender clutching fixed mine, haven't had totally topped this year, but in less than ideal conditions it hit 109 pretty quick! Also make sure the track is not too tight. hit 108 mph today (on the dream-o-meter) before i ran out of hard packed road...thats with a 151 2 inch stock track...was still picking up a bit of speed. That was at 10400 to 10500 rpms.
