Hey guys
Since we all have to change our hyfaxes so much, what do you guys do with the old ones? I feel like it is such a waste to throw them away, any ideas?

Mine go into the garbage but then again I dont change mine as often as others do. I have only changed the hyfax twice on my 04 mountian which I use for flat land riding. Once they wear down to a certain point they all but stop wearing and last for a very long time.

You can use them for shimming your skis...of course you have to cut/file them down.

I've also made "Ski Savers" much like the ones Bergstrom Skegs sells.

I've used them as a support for a couple of shelves in my garage.

Trailer ramp traction? Additional tunnel protection?

I give mine to my brother in law. He puts them on the bottom of his fishing shanties. Adds protection and slides well on the ice.

I use my dynamic transmolcular deionizer to polarize the base petroleum molecules found in the hyfaxes into space age polymer substrates. The substrates sell well on Doo talk for the molding of replacement throttle levers, hand guards and rear taillight assemblies. Now if I could only come up with a product to recycle for the huffy handlebars they use I would be rich!

I pitch the old ones but I keep the part I cut off the new ones. I made a trailer plate reinforcement. Before I was loosing one a year (it mounts under the trailer). Not any more.

Last set I had, I cut them into 12" peices and put them on my ramp for traction. Space them at whatever pitch your track is.

i usually just throw them out as i usually get 3-4 seasons on the cheap kimpex sliders. not averaging lots of miles but enough to make me happy.

Make a hyfax coffee table. The wife will love it. ;)!
