What is the best brand of belt to use on a boosted trail sled with 11-12lbs on a S/C? Does one last better then another? Obviosly clutching and alignment have a lot to do with this. Just wondering if one is more durable on higher horsepower applications? Thanks again guys ;)!

Man i used Yamahas a ton, but they are a very hard belt. The last thing i did on my sled was went to a softer belt and a little longer for overdrive.

You have a stock clutch? It will work but takes alot of set up and time. Hard for it to grab the belt good down low. The S.C. comes on so fast and hard. 4 post would be much better if you ask me buddy. You put so much weight on it to grab down low then your top rpm will be off....(low) That can hurt you big time with a S.C. less rpm = less boost!

Have a four post, and roller on their now. Might install the Shockwave. Can't decide. I also have two more sets of pulleys for dragging if I decide to get stupid on a lake also to take me over that 12lb mark. Hence the belt question. I would assume that one would be better for the trail with the on and off rpm's compared to a belt for dragging which is all on? Or am I wrong to think that?

Yes never put many miles on the softer belt hard to say. But killer you have a 4 post. The shockwave makes adj rpm easy but feel you loose some drive belt efficiency.

When you jump off the bridge with both feet you have to plan on hitting the water not the rocks, but sometimes you never know how deep the water is :o| :o|
