WOT ..running VP Q16 SEA LEVEL
Stock motor with 2 head gaskets.
Longer studs with center drilled deeper.
20# with 2560R.
What's considered perfect? Safe yet make the most power.
I'm sure its been covered but I can find it though search.
Thanks

How far are you running? Cam timing stock? Stock timing curve? Q16 likes to be a little leaner, we run stock compression sleds with stock timing at 12.4 for 660' ice. I don't know if its perfect but the timers and rpms don't lie. I guess the right way to do it would be put it on a dyno and play with the afr to find what the motor likes.

660' drag racing. Stock timing and ignition and cam.
Was running 10.8 but the weather was very warm last Satuday approx 55°f
160 main jets could be the reason. What jetting do you recommend?
Thanks.

Maybe you should ask your Friend Ted
That's what I was thinking Ted!
We don't mess with the carbed sleds to much anymore as rejetting sucks especially getting Q16 on your hands (its a little rough on the skin).
Leaving alot on the table running Q16 at 10.8 AFR.

I am running 152 main jets with a 2560 at 1500' elevation. before meth a/f was a little lean at 12.2 but after meth with no jetting changes it,s down to 11.4.

You can't always trust the O2 sensors after they sit for 9 months, I recently had to replace mine on my Warrior it was also reading 10.3:1 at WOT but with a new one it reads 11.5:1 AFR at WOT Same day.
I think the Q-16 Kills the sensor after a while.
You have to go by the sled history and plug readings then the O2 readings.
As I recall the AFR on OtisRX was good last year like 11.8:1 and nothing has changed but time.

will the 2860 slip in place of the 2560R or are mods needed?
