Where's the 05 Mountain RX-1s?

Still waiting for my 05 RX-1 Mountain? Anyone out there seen one land in North America yet?

:shock: I havent seen mine either, I called the dealer yesterday and they were saying that it was ready to be shipped but it hasnt left yet? I am probably thinking october insted of september like they were saying, I guess I will wait and see ,

My parents are still waiting on their two Mtn Vectors

I haven't seen mine either. I have been calling my dealer everyday for the past two weeks. He informed me that all snow checked machines had to be final by the 1st of Oct., I think he is putting himself on the LINE. Hope to see it soon!

I talked to Randy and he said the Vector Mtn's are on the boat and should be here in a couple of weeks. I would assume the RX Mtn's will be coming also.

Unless they have changed from '03 you won't see a 4 stroke mtn sled until late oct. I didn't se my '03 until the end of november because of the dockworkers lockout in the fall of '02. Check to see if they have '05 Viper Mountains yet. The 4-stroke will be about three weeks behind them.

Edit when I said you won't see, I am talking about assembled and ready for pickup.

Dealer here in Quebec has one mountain in crate since last week. But no Limited Edition.

Test Ride

I was wondering if anybody had the chanced to ride a 05 prodotype RX1, or if they even had any out there at the end of last year? If they did, how was they. Are they very much better then the 04 or 03. Or would aguy be better off waiting for the 05's or go get him a killer deal on a 03 or 04 sled?

In order to do a fair comparison you would have to look at what mods you would want/have to do to an 03 or 04 to bring it up to 05 specs.

The 05 Mtn has the following upgrades compared to 03 and 04 mtns.
- carb coolant shut off
- rear heat exchanger
- wider and taller bars
- taller seat
- wider skis
- new rear skid that is supposed to transfer weight better
- new clutching calibration
- 05 is 22 lbs lighter than an 04 I think, and 27 lbs lighter than an 03

In my opinion, if you can find a deal on an 03 or 04 and make some/all of the upgrades and still come out ahead - pull the trigger. If not check into an 05.

On Sat. my dealer said the RX-1 mountains have landed here so we should see them any day? The RS Vector are suppose to be on the water and on there way. My 03 RX-1 Mountain was in my garage Last week of Aug 03. We had over a 1' of snow couple hours north of me a week ago so now I starting to worry. The earliest we have ever ridin here (2hrs away) was Last weekend in Sept but ussually its around Oct 20-25, lastest start being Nov 2nd. Oh well I still have the old girl and all she needs is gas!

My Mtn Vector was shipped from the warehouse to the dealership yesterday...only one, looks like i'll be getting a blue one. Now where's that turbo?

Ya lucky Dog Slymax, I just talked to my dealer and told him you got one and he said the sleds are here at the docks, they are just waiting for the windshields and skis. (they get put in here, something to do with X amount of parts built here makes it less duty or something I heard years ago) anyways I guess the rest of us should be seeing our sleds soon.
