I know that it recommended in most applications to mount the wideband sensor at least 8" after the turbo. but on rear mount turbos on sleds where do you mount the sensor? currently mine is before the turbo because I have no other option. I haven't noticed anything abnormal.
Has anyone placed the sensor in both locations on the same sled just to see the difference?
Thoughts?

The reason that the sensor manufacturers warn to mount them after the turbo is because the sensors don't survive under pressure, and the heating element tend to short out in the additional exhaust heat. There is alot of back pressure between the exhaust port and the turbo, sometimes up to double the boost pressure.
I mounted my O2 sensor right in the elbow that mounts to my outlet flange, before my muffler, so it's not 8" after... more like 3".

I've heard the same,
I wish There was an easier way to mount mine after the turbo, my muffler mounts right to my turbo. Sensor survival hasn't been an issue for me. I just wonder how accurate the reading is. It's acts like it's working properly. (No weird actions )

Depending on what your muffler is made of, and how thick, i've seen an O2 sensor boss welded right into the muffler near the inlet side (so not picking up reverberated fresh air from the outlet).
