will a 16 inch wide track fit

thinking about putting a 16 inch wide track in my rtx for more footprint (for traction ) will it in a stock tunnel if not what can i do to make it fit like change rear skid brackets or what ?

Yes it will fit, you need to cut off the captive nut chaincase mount inside the tunnel, I put the bolt in from the inside out and cut the head down a couple mm
and yes swap out the rear drop brackets for some flat plate items
