I am considereing buying the xtx but want to make sure it will fit in my trailer. Has anyone hauled one in a 10Ft clam shell? Thanks

Yes, just be carefull if you change windshields as it will hit the top of the clam..

the XTX will fit in the early 10' clamshell, however it is tight. I had a 97 triton with a bearcat top and it was close. have since sold that. Sled had to be in the perfect spot to not rub in the rear or up front on the windshield.

I now have a 10' triton with the larger smooth side enclosure and there is plenty of room in that. Any 10' enclosed trailer with the higher front make it a much nicer fit.

They do fit in my triton but not with my tall winshield. Fits fine with the low shield or I just install the tall shield once it is off the trailer.

its tight and positioning is key.
even in my buddys 12fter i had to make a new mount for the ski bar...it was too far forward stock.

I had this same question 2 months ago. I just purchased a new 2012 XT10 Triton with a Triton aluminum cap. They XTX fit OK. Tall windshield would not fit though. Only reason the XTX fit in a 10' Triton was the fact that the cap extends past the front of the trailer allowing the skis to go farther forward. Some 10' caps will not work because there is no cap extending pas the front of the trailer deck.

i fit mine, we had to put blocks under the front of the skis to the skis ride up a little bit onto the shell and it fit

me and my friend both have the mid windshields and we just take our hoods off and wrap them in blankets and put them in the middle works great
