Found a 04 ZL 600 skid will it fit in my RX 1 like the ZRT skids?

Certainly should. The only obstacle could be tunnel width, but that's nothing a grinder couldn't fix.

The ZL skid doesn't have the good rebuildable shocks. Go with a ZR if you're gonna do it that way. The ZRT is a long track isn't it? Don't think its even a 121 skid. Also, the 600 springs will be too light for the RX1. Of course you could buy new springs and shocks. But why?? I kept the proaction, bought the Pioneer shock / spring kit and it rides and handles fine now. I have no more complaints. The proaction is still fussy to adjust, but it rides well with the Pioneer set up. And, takes like 30 min to do complete changeover vs trying to retro fit some other manufactureres skid in there. I contemplated doing the ZR skid, but its gotta kill the resale value, and my RX1 rides just as good as my Dad's ZL 600 now.

Which skid should I be looking for in particular I still have my order in for a Bender but after last weekends crappy ride on my crappy suspension and 2 days to get my back not to hurt I need something soon. I lost out on the sKidoo SC10 III suspension and there is a guy 10 miles from me that put one in. Does anyone have a SC10 III for sale? I really thought I wanted the Bender but I am sick of waiting and I am not going this winter with the crappy pro action I also found an 02 ZR800 skid please please help me I cant take another beating on this thing.

That 02 ZR 800 would be perfect if you're gonna swap one out. Go for it. Plenty have done this mod and can help you. I don't remember any one regretting going to the ZR skid.

I believe the ZL skid doesn't have the stronger mount for the front shock as the ZRs do. Since I already had the 136" Ripsaw I went with a 2000
136 Mountain T-cat skid. If you can find a T-cat skid it will be already sprung and damped for the weight of the RX1. I have the oversized adjuster block but don't really need it as it hasn't bottomed out yet. The difference in ride, transfer and handling is unbelieveable.

No. The ZRT was not a long track unless a Mountain Cat version was made avaiable.

Correct.
There were two Mountain Cat versions. Powder Extreme (which was a ZRT6 with a 136" skid and track) and the TCats which were available in 121 or 136" lengths for many years.
Cat rear suspension springs are cheap. and lots of weight ranges availible. Don't let the springs stop you from buying an otherwise good skid.
Also, Cat rails are pretty cheap too. You can extend 121" for not too much $$$
