I would like to gut out my exhaust on my 2004 rx 1, Will I need to rejet my carbs? And will it make my exhaust a lot louder? and what do I have to remove to get exhaust out of sled? any info would be great,
thanks,
Todd

Based off of gutting my 03, yes you will need to rejet. I had to go down, I believe two jet sizes.

Sound level is not too bad. It definately sounds closer to a super bike, however, it isn't like going to a Vance and Heinz level on a bike.

I don't think that you would get busted for loudness either unless you were bleeping the throttle hard through town.

Like stock, it begins to lose noise above 70/75 and go into silent mode.

Gilbey, you down sized the jets, I thought there was already a lean condition at mid range, any thoughts on this, just wondering.

I was very concerned...and still am at times. Color on the plugs is good, warranty is done :( but that's what I had to do to make her run well.

I only put a 1000 miles on last year. So I think another 1000-2000 will tell any long term effects.

It's a risk, but the 1000 miles it ran well last year.
