how is going guys, buying a 2006 nytro off my dad, the starter was gone and he brought it to a shop who was suppose to change it but said the motor was low on compression and started taking it apart when they weren't supposed to. so now the motor is sitting in boxes and i want to buy it to make it more of a MTN sled, i was wondering what kind of skid i can put in, there is alot of info on the Apex but not the RS Nytro. are they the same tunnel? will a 153 MTN skid bolt right into it or is there relocation involed? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks PJ

the rs nitro is the deltabox 1 chassis as the hood swings open on hinges vs the apex deuz nuts but it did come with an apex style seat on it. odds are the front pivot bolts in in the same spot but you will have to put on a tunnel extension and measure/map out where the rear mount will end up. if it still has stock gearing in it, it should be close on the gear ratio it will need for that much track.
question. why not 151" track? there are more options for that size.

Tell you the truth willing to go with anything longer as long as it's cheap and easy lol, we are building the wife sled and I built my vmax last winter so funds are tight so close to winter which was I'm looking for more of a remove and replace sort of option

ah. i only asked as the 153 is a bit of an odd track legnth and there is a few 151 with 2.52 pitch tracks so you would not have to do drivers right away. could always go 144 with muffinworks rail extensions and a tail section from an apex xtx as mine is only poprivited and bolted with the bumper.

What size track you running? And I'm thinking on a 153 from a nytro or viper will do the trick when it comes to the track and isn't it a 3.00 pitch for the tracks? I'm in iroquois falls Ontario near timmins so we get a nice bit of snow up here on a good year and don't feel like getting stuck all the time lol

rs nitro came with 2.52 pitch. nitro mtx came with 3 pitch and i know that that tracks sucks off trail. brother had one on an 04 rx war that we extended to 153 using hartman extensions, tunnel extension and drivers. trenched like a ditch witch in any kind of powder even with a skid setback. put a 2.52 pitch 151"x 1-1/4" ripsaw on it with skid in stock location using muffinworks tipped up rail extensions and the trenching was vastly reduced to it being a matter of throttle control. the 153, trenched for sappling killer at all throttle positions.

a pick with the 153 installed. tree branch is how he got his screen name.
