Nope, you need a flared low or mid height with mounting holes on the flares like the one on mine

Hey Shadow. Do actually get a more protection from a low flared (with deflectors) over the stock shield??

The flares keep the wind off the mid section but you still get the wind in the upper chest/neck/head area....I'll sacrifice funtionality for looks though...all of my sleds are cold...so I just dress for the ride lol. My sled came with the low chrome winsdshield ( the one that is so small it would keep a flea warm ) so this one is a step up.

Hey shadow, I have that same windy and after I put it on I was getting blasted in the neck/chin area with the deflected air. It really sucks you know what. You getting that too or is it just me? I'm 6' 2" and I'm thinking about putting the stock ornament, I mean windshield back on. At least with that one you get blasted all over evenly and not so concentrated in my neck/chin area.

I get a bit of wind there but I where a turtle neck and my Yamaha/FXR no fog mask keeps me warm...I have no issues and am very comfortable...I'm 6' ( maybe 6'2" with my boots on ).

does the premium cover still fit nicely with the wind deflectors on? I know it will stretch for a taller windshield, but am not sure about the sides where the deflectors would be.

The black FX Nytro Yamaha OEM cover fits fine.

I had a low profile on my RTX at first but my chest froze so I put a mid-widshield with deflectors on - BIG difference now.
