Does anyone know if you can buy the wind guards found on the GT and put them on the other models?

There is actually 4 of those deflectors on the GT, two by the knees and one on each side of the head light. I was wanting to put them on my Mountain Lite until my dealer told me $35.00 each. $35 X 4 = $140. I am going to wait till I get a good ride and maybe just buy better cloths if needed.
I paid 7.99 ea for the upper deflectors, the lower ones were around 24 bucks ea at Ronnies. Figure a couple bucks more for hardware. Now, If I can get someone with a GT to post some pictures of the backside of the panels they mount to - I can figure out where to drill mounting holes.
Part #'s for upper deflectors are;
8GK-77231-00-00 one side
8GK-7723A-00-00 other side
90183-06011-00 nuts
8GK-77231-00-00 one side
8GK-7723A-00-00 other side
90183-06011-00 nuts

Thanks for the info, your price is a lot better and more realistic. I think I will buy a set for about that.

Thanks yamy07 and northwoods! I completely overlooked the upper deflectors. Those probably offer a little more protection than the side deflectors. I'll have to get a set of those ordered.

My boyfriend finally got chance to install the GT wind guards on my FX. My digital camera is on the fritz so I apologize for no photos of the installation. The good news is it's a piece of cake. I probably could have done it myself, ha! There are two dimples on the inside of the side panels where the holes need to be drilled. Just hold the deflectors up to the side panels and they line up easily. The same goes for the head light deflectors.
