My 06 rage wont go over 75 mph at times. No mods to clutching or nething like that. Just raised handlebars w/ a throttle extension. sometimes it runs fine but sometimes- mostly lake runs and straits it wont accelerate. The rpms stay at a little over 7500 and wont rev to 85 like it normally would. My dealer said the clutch was good and adjusted it. but it is stil doin it. any help would be appreciated.
check to see if your throttle is being restricted from opening up all the way?

Pull the airbox off and clean your filter and make sure you don't have condensation in your airbox like I did. Next, hold the throttle open and push the carb slide valves up. Make sure all of the butterfly valves are operating properly (opening all the way). When you push the slide valves up, release them quickly and make sure they slide back down evenly. They won't all return at exactly the same rate, but just make sure one isn't sticking and hanging up.
I could only get 80mph out of my 2008 Vector a couple of weeks ago and believe it was either due to the water in my airbox or one of the slide valves not operating properly.
