I put a 1.75 Back Country on my 09 XTX. Need to clutch it for cross crountry riding. What is a good set up? Shockwave?

I am also curious. I have a 2010 XTX coming and the dealer is putting the 1.75 track on before I even pick up my sled. Should I be getting some clutch work done? I was planning on installing some Heel Clickers in the future.

If you are looking for bolt on kits I would contact ulmer racing. Allen will set you up(rider weight, lug height etc) and you should be bolt on and go. Gearing down to a 20tooth sprocket would probaly be a big help with that track as well and its cheap.

Do you guys think it would be a good idea to drop a gear going to a 136 cobra from a 121 ripsaw? I guess I never gave it any thought up until right now. now would be the time to do it when i have it all apart. Thanks

You dont have to, the xtx uses the same gearing as the shorties and I had a cobra on mine last winter and it was fine. The 1.75 is heavy and moves alot of snow so thats why I think they regear with that one.

Yes you can use same chain for 19/39. that is what I have done with a 1.75 backcountry track.

Clutching w/1.75

This will sound way to simple and cheap but it worked on my 2009 XTX w/ 9 tooth extros and stock gearing, I ride in the pacific nw at 4-7,000ft, mostly on trails but also do some powder riding when its around. Stock weights w/ the heaviest rivits Yamaha sells in the first two holes and the stock rivit in the outer hole, pulls like a frieght train and hooks up like mad. Havent been beat at the airstrip yet against some heavy competition and its wonderfull corner to corner.
