So their is hopefully a few more weeks of snowmobiling left, taxes will hopefully be coming back soon and before I have to spend it on something else...I want to change some things on my 09 XTX.
Things completed: Pioneer revalve, Drag & Fly clutch kit (standard set up),
Yamaheater + New Booster (haven't installed yet), ripsaw with 114 studs down the middle, Simmons skis with shaper bars all around.
Things concidering and would like input from people who've tried...what worked what didn't work etc... :
Track: would like the 1.75 back country because of all the positive reviews, however studding is a must for the trails i ride, Anyone use the cobra with studs on an XTX? better...worse then the Ripsaw off & on trail? worth the switch for the $$$ ? faster/slower acceleration? top end?
Gearing: Already have the drag & flys and even though people feel that it seems slower, I have faster quicker acceleration then stock. and i've gotten either better or the same MPG with stock clutching... something I enjoy since my trips to Quebec sometimes require good planning on fill ups. Therefore, anyone doing any gearing with this setup? was it up or down....honestly i don't win the top speed battles as is (against attacks) but thats expected, i do however beat them up to 75 -85 mph.
Exhaust: Lots of posts on this so i don't really need much input ...just gonna stick with a header change ( i think)
I know their are posts that touch on some of these subjects but its so scattered and people doing/wanting slightly different things its been challenging to find satisfying answers, this is a long post but any and all help is greatly appreciated!
