Ok. So does the new geometry move the skis further forward? The phaser front end feels lighter and when you compare it to the nytro the distance from the spindle centre to the clutch is greater than on the nytro.....

Tossed this season re boosting a phaser or fixing the from end of the nytro as I like the feel of the phaser better than the nytro but really like the power of the nytro ....

Does anyone have the part number for the new front end?

Ya don't think that might have anything to do with the Phaser having a 500cc 2 cyl vs the Nytro having a 1050cc 3 cyl do ya [/quote]

No doubt that the nytro motor is slightly heavier that the phazer but the "feel" is very different! Sleds are not that far apart in weight. Check the measurement from the spindle centre to the clutch to the centre of the ski spindle and you'll notice that the nytro's skis appear to be positioned closer to the motor by several inches (not sure the actual centre of gravity for each) ..... just wondering if the new race front end actually moves the centre of the spindle forward - looks like that in the photo.

From the dealer web site .....
"With an astounding 4.5" forward movement of the spindles, fully adjustable camber, and a revolutionary (for Yamaha) 24.7° of positive caster, the new handling is inexplicable.
Answers my question re the Phazer front end versus the Nytro ....4 1/2 inches forward would certainly change the relative position of the CG to the skis and would help to make the front end "feel" lighter .....
