That makes most sense to me, I was full of fuel but it acted like it ran out. I think I’ll replace those just to do something. Thanks for sharing that.
Following this, I had the exact same thing thing happen this weekend. Automatically thought it was something mechanical when it lost power. Restarted it and it ran flawlessly for 500kms. Obviously nothing mechanical but I have no idea what happened.
It was hovering around freezing that day 0*C. 20-30 minutes of speeds constantly over 100kms. Sounds like heat transfer, it was the last ride of the season so I wrung it’s neck. Time to replace fluids, thanks for the feedback!
Last ride of the year on some fast trails in Northern Ontario and boot got very warm. Chain case was pretty warm and oil tank was hot enough you couldn’t keep your fingers on it. Engine temperature was good. Is all this heat transferred from the exhaust and turbo or should I be looking for...
Just catching up as I got my 50th in March 2018 and have the straight lever. Anyone who had the curved race lever and swapped to a shorty want to sell it?
Took my liner out and see that I have 4 plugs in there already so I’m wondering if taping up the other vents will make a difference. At speed I can’t even hear my snowmobile, it’s all wind. I can hear it if I turn my head sideways. I think I’m done with it!

Make sure your deflector under your secondary isn't bent up from when the first belt blew. When decelerating from wide open throttle, your belt is loose and can hit it, catching a top cog, then delaminating. Here is how i fixed mine. Made a bracket, used a plastic body dart to attach.
