Well I'm finally ready for my trip to the U.P. Its been snowing like a mad man up there all week and I guess its deep, which is even better. I will update with Pics and conditions when I get home next Tuesday.

Where in the UP are you going? I like to head towards Gwinn MI next weekend and ride from there.

We are up in South range. I do have to say the snow is awesome but I made it 500yds before I snapped my handled bars off.

You OK? Got any duct tape?

Yeah I'm fine. I didn't even hit anything. I was just boondocks g una this clearing and they snapped right off. I was able to find parts so it's good to go for tomorrow.

Well this was one interesting trip to say the least. Lots of bad and lots of good. It all started when I snap my bars off in the first 500 yds after leaving the trailer. I found parts and we were good to go. Day 2, the snow was awesome as it snowed a foot the previous night. I made it until noon until I say my sled leaking coolant. Tip it over and I found where are rock went through my front cooler and cracked it. No fixing this one so I got stuck riding the back up sled. Which I was actually surprised how well it did for only being a 136 compared to my 153. I also purpose to my girlfriend and she said yes, which was a huge positive for the trip. Day 3 was a good day. Lots of untouched snow that was deep. The most snow we found was about 5ft deep. We never found less then 3.5ft. All powder. Day 4 started out alright but I bumped a tree and broke the bumper on the back sled. We only rode a half day as we had a 6hr drive home. We almost made it home until we hit a really bad icy spot and the truck and trailer were sliding in the ditch and over a couple medians, took out a large street sign and ended up in the far side ditch. No damage to the truck or the sled but the trailer got pretty banged up. Needs a new axle and some straightening plus a couple tries. Overall the snow was awesome, the trails were prefect everyday and it was an ok trip as far as my sled goes.

Congratulations on the proposal ! It sure looks like fun.... If she was calm through out that whole experience then you know you got a good one !!

Thanks! She kinda knew it was going to happen in the near future but she never saw it coming out in the woods in a blizzard. Haha.
