I read this the other night and wasnt sure if the new part # was stainless. After reading it again it looks as though they are. Thank you for re-posting that.
Have got to do the dreaded replacement of the y pipes. mag side clamp had spun around, donut was pretty much gone (2nd set now) and the flange was cracked on the mag side. Pto was good but looking to replace all at once rather than tear this apart again.
I'm wondering if anyone has tried the...
I cut out my windows with a utility knife. Ran the track without adding clips for a while until the dreaded clip flying off issues began. reclipped the whole track and lost them all again. finally lost a stud and replaced the whole track.
My 06' rtx has a 23t top and a proline clutch kit. Never had a problem beating my buddies attack. I've seen 132mph on the speedo(no Mods) on the lake. Sled has always been very quick and revs out to 10,800 or so. could prob use a little more weight at the tip to pull it down a little.
Yes, this is no big deal. had mine done last season, i had a double backer tear out going wfo across the lake. biggest pain is having to move the sled with no skid in it. Also never thought of the ECU removal but all worked out fine.
Wow, that's a rough strech. My deepest sympathies for your losses.
I feel your pain with the heat exchanger, just went through the same scenario with the heat exchanger. Was able to have mine welded after removing the track. Much cheaper than replacing.
Hope 2010 gets better 4 U!
I'm kind of in transition with the out of the hole traction. I used to like to go to the lake and race but also like to trail ride and you simply can't be competitive racing with a trail set up and i'm not willing to re-calibrate my suspension for a half day on the lake. The thoughts still...
I know it sounds kind of crazy but my ripsaw threw a double backer through the heat exchanger yesterday so i'm on the market for a replacement track. I was contemplating an ice ripper xt but i'm not sure it's going to satisfy my traction needs. Always had studded sleds and don't think they...
This is why i didn't do this sooner. I really wanted to try a zx2. I've decided to wait and see if a new model comes out. I completly rebuilt the mono and will try to go easy on her for the season!
I've got an 06' RTX with the mono shock and wondering if it will swap with the pro active ck from an 07' without any modifications?
Basically will i have to relocate the monoshock brackets or do they utilize the same mounting points.
I'm a pretty agressive rider and wondering if this...
I'm on arm #3 now. I just finished re-inforcing it myself. I'm waiting for my rear shock to get back from hygear (just a rebuild). To date i've also had the rails crack, rear pivot arm break at the shock mount, transfer rod come apart, and an unknown # of track clips scattered throughout tug...
