    so you can wire it to 12 volt with no issues......Im assumeing the cradle regulates the voltage dwn from 12 volt....im I correct on that.......I really don't want to fry my unit...lol

    I actually have three of the AMPS cradles; one on my Viper, one on my motorcycle, and one on my ATV. All are direct wired to 12 volt batteries, and I just switch my Montanna back and forth depending upon which "vehicle" is in season! Not sure how the voltage is regulated, but the cradle definitely takes care of it.
