My 16 xtx vector always had a non smooth idle when cold right from the startup everytime. But when warmed up it runs like a beast. 4500 miles now on it. My wife has a 13 vector ltx and had a 2010 ltx which had a flawless cold idles. odd.
Is there coolant temp kits with instructions for the Apex/Vector sleds? I have a 2016 Vector XTX and want to install a coolant temp gauge. The vector fourm seems to be dead. Sad but I know after owning 3 Attaks Apex has similar cooling compontants and layout.
I searched threads but infor is...
Not surprised. They stuck to their guns and didn't make 2 strokes. I'm glad really as I can't stand the smell from others when riding now. And I bet they pushed other's to jump to 4 stroke fast. They don't need this end of the Market and let it go.
6k for Attak is nothing . I owned 3 of them. I run RS Vectors now and love them as much or more. Same machine really except for 3 cyl which still runs like heck and pulls strong.

I two mounted the Duraflex brand which I like more. On the side rails in an existing hole. And added SS closed eye bolts to hold them. They are amazing scatchers. Never break or bend. In and out of the trailer or what ever. Many years and miles on them. Same for the wifes sled.
I have the Hygear coil over shock. Best one there is out there. Takes a beating and has the best upgrade design again. Worth the money. I've had it since hey first came out with it. Same kit as the 129 basically. Skid wheels are moved in that kit.
A LTX has a 136 in track and yes you would need 1 1/2 in of clearance over the fin's. If you have oem protectors then an old slide would give the extra clearance.
I do that as well. Piece of cake. I also use it when in fresh snow and the trails disappear. It keeps me on some hard pack underneath. As you know if you go off the trails/road trails/field trails snow is much deeper and softer and my "heavy beast" will sink especially with all 250lbs of me plus...
That doesn't fly with me.. It shows me alot of things ahead. Which leads to a much more safer and stress free ride. Been using one for many many years.
I'm way over the hill in age and put on near 30k dependable miles on a Yami machines since 2007. never left me strandedn. I know the machine well as I have done all my own maintenance etc. All I want is a easy trail ride thru our North Country during the week with the wife on her Yami as well...
