Talked to my salesman at the sneak peek

Give Chris a call @ Plaistow Powersports. He was the cheapest out the door price in New England.

    Viper Lands In Manitoba

The amount of track unsupported by only two rear wheels scares me.... Looks like it REALLY should have 4 wheels to give the outer 4" of track more support, and ease the wear of the sliders.

    Engine Mounts

Assembly line support ears. Used for hanging the engine once mostly after all the internals are installed.

    MACHINE WEIGHTS

It better be lighter than that...... Cats 1100T comes in at close to 570lbs dry........

    viper drive

More chance of ratcheting, less durability, less contact patch on the snow.

Color POLL..... What color are YOU choosing?

Yeah...I know... I borked the poll... :drink:

    viper drive

3.0 pitch is horrible. It's cost savings, and that's about all. Less rubber used.

    Has anyone else heard this....

AC's old school junk batteryless EFI isn't true EFI anyway. It's part EFI. I'd take a true monitoring EFI with a battery anyday. (True O2 readings, TPS, MAP/BAP sensors etc.)

Color POLL..... What color are YOU choosing?

I t could be ANYWHERE between August and November. Dealers have no idea, and neither does Yamaha at this point......

    Has anyone disected the Viper??

If this is true, it would put the dry weight at around 485lbs.........That seems awful light.... Projected dry should be right around 500lbs for the 129"

Viper had a cat drive train???

They are all mixed and matched Prototypes for the sneak peek showings.

    White tunnel...

Maybe Yamaha will contact dealers in the next few months, asking if the owners (Pre-ordered) would like to change their color option to a blue/black. Wouldn't THAT be something.........

    Brake

I myself never worry about it. The amount of time I use my brake is very small. I always leave myself plenty of stopping distance, and keep my following distance within reason. None of my sleds ever had a problem with a reasonable time to stop.

    yamacharger

They can always change impeller design slightly, to make up for the difference in upper engine final RPM.
