Talked to my salesman at the sneak peek

Sounds like he isn't trying to sell them very hard, my dealer is selling vipers to cat guys on the clutches alone.

Wy would he push the yamaha. He can make more with repairs and belts through the course of the year on a cat lol.

Yes the 15th for the US and the 20th for Canada.
Weird. Yamaha Motor Scandinavia has got their snowcheck thing going until 30 of June. On the other hand, we will likely not see any sleds before New Year. The last Arctic Cat models to be assembled will be the Yamaha based 7000 models and then the SR Vipers will be assembled. This means November or possibly December assembly. Maybe not such a hassle for the North American market, but some of the dealers over here are pissed off. They have been told to promise no sleds before New Year and they feel this is holding customers back.

Talked to my local dealer this morning. He happens to be an Arctic Cat as well as Yamaha dealer so he can compare information from both companies. The official word from Arctic Cat is that ZR7000, XF7000 and CT7000 are scheduled for delivery "during December". Arctic Cat dealers are pissed off about this because they expect to sell a lot of CT7000 and this date means they will not have it in time for the big snowmobile show in end of October. There is still no official word from Yamaha, but the dealers have been told to not promise any sleds before New Year as delivery is expected to start first week of January.
According to my dealer, the scary thing is that Arctic Cat reps seem to know much more about the SR Viper than the Yamaha reps. For instance, there is still no accessory catalog from Yamaha, so other Yamaha dealers are calling him to figure out which Arctic Cat accessories will fit the SR Viper...How is this situation in Finland...?

...and if the swedish dealers were not disappointed in the scheduled delivery dates, they are now seriously pissed off about the limited number of sleds that they will get. The biggest dealer in northern Sweden was expecting to sell more than hundred SR Vipers. He will get no more than twenty. My local dealer has got about twenty potential SR Viper customers. He will get two in total...! Basically, all of these are sold, still, the snow check thing is open until end of June...

Is this the trade off in the whole Arctic Cat deal - no matter how many potential customers you have got during pre-season and no matter how many customers that want to snow check the SR Viper - the production numbers are still decided by the few days Yamaha get in Thief River Falls...?

Same thing with my dealer. He had already "sold" 10 Vipers when he got a call from he Yamaha rep that he will only get 5. I will get one of those since I ordered very early.

And them complain that sales have gone down, wonder why? This is how it may be when all will be produced in one place. Great by Yamaha ;)!
But really, so I do not care, I will not even buy me such a hybrid. Hope for God's sake that Yamaha is going to mend his ways and make a 100% Yamaha in 2015. Only then will I spend my money on a Yamaha and not a Yamahacat!
