    The Covid Escape Room

Mine is more like a Sommolier, takes a mouthfull, spits it out, declares it unfit for consumption.

    Catalyst 998t rumours

I see stock winders all the time, just ask the owners... then they start them up.. yeah.. stock.. right...

    Catalyst 998t rumours

The goal will likely be a lower target, say a doo 900 t class sled in a lighter weight chassis. Companies like textron don't try to build world beaters, the strive to build me too+ (similar but better in one or two small areas). That is the likely outcome of mixing bean counters and...

Dorman has nylon automotive push pins. Most manufacturers do have nylon push pins, but they still aren't the same. For the price, its worth sticking to OEM or someone like dorman who has a reputation to hang on to.

    Sled sales/production down

With doo having the dominant market share, and growth split between Polaris and Doo, Yamaha could see the end of the winter powersports from a long ways away. The problem with the doo approach is that it is a reactionary measure based on a single year of history. Next year is going to be a...

    Catalyst 998t rumours

Are you sure? Weber motors hasn't been around for awhile, I thought they went bankrupt and were purchased by private equity around the start of covid, maybe it was a different part of weber.. The motor in the link above is an older design, pre 2010 and released in 2015. oceomarine is just a...

The oem ones are a nylon reinforced plastic, the cheap knockoffs are just plastic. When you take them apart, the difference is obvious. The following is an example just based on the fact that they claim they are nylon, they are not the ones to buy if you are swapping out rivets...

Just stuff some pushpins in your bag. If they can hold wheel well liners in on every car they will be fine for the sled.

    Knockout kit

Oh, I know, was just responding to your comment about yamaha running oil through there.

    Knockout kit

If the noise is coming from the interference fit of the splines, I would be concerned about aeration of any oil moving through there. For the price of the noise reduction ring I think a PB80 might be a good choice for a lot of guys running stock to moderately tuned sleds.

    Weight transfer with snow trackers

No snow trackers on SRX, I find the front end to be pretty good already. The apex had a lot bigger problem with the tuner skis, trackers on it were almost mandatory. On the SRX I find the front end has a bit of predictable push which I was going to work on this year but not enough snow or...

    Weight transfer with snow trackers

Yes. The torsion springs are holding up the back, removing some preload will allow more transfer although I am not sure why this is their recommendation. On the apex I just set 0 toe, loosened the front shocks and set the center shock so the track was flat when it was lowered to the ground...

    Weight transfer with snow trackers

With a scale. Either a bathroom scale (protected by something so the carbides don't bite in, or some kind of hanging scale which you can then measure off of the a-arm. The 70% doesn't come from the center shock, it comes from the front ski shocks. Loosen the front ski shocks so the arms are...

    Need help… no boost

The boost spikes I guess are normal but it means that the ECU really thinks that the throttle is not solid at 100%. Changing the scale just makes it more visible. No idea however why the map without the throttle dips has the boost running lower... unless. If you go back to the map that has...

    Need help… no boost

Oh.. you are right.. hmm.. The TPS thing seems to be real at least that there is a correlation between what the sled thinks is happening and what is happening to boost. Can you switch the scale on the left so it is boost instead of mph?
