At last check there are no TORS switches available so be careful with yours if you fiddle with it. I broke mine, the dealer said there are none in North America right now so if someone has one laying around I would be happy to purchase it.
Could just be my dealer doesn't know what to look...
My one ride of the season this year on the Gunflint heading to Sag at 10:00 at night. Didn't know the trail, don't drink but was riding too fast for the corners. Only made 90 degrees of a 120 degree off camber corner. Drove off the side of the ravine sideways, a tree kicked the sled so I was...
For the guys out there that have done the lightweight battery mod. Are you seeing your batteries dead after a long ride. I was going to do the mod but if the charging system is that marginal, the last thing I need is a dead sled after riding for 6 or 8 hours.
Okay, not to fan the fire here, so to speak but does this mean I can't run my sled for 300 miles today with the headlight on high beam, the hand warmers on full and my heated shield because the battery will run down.
I don't buy it. That means guys running these UPS lightweight batteries are...
I stripped one of the bowl screws :o|
Got 15 and the 16th wouldn't go. A pair of vise grips did the trick. I have spares for doing the job now. The same Sumo wrestler kung fu grip that puts on the oil filter at the factory must have put on the the bowl screws and the side panel screws...
I hadn't ridden in 20+ years. Last year my neighbor invited me to go to Watersmeet and ride with his crew. I used his 600 Cat, he had just bought an F7. After about an hour of riding I said, "I gotta get another sled." Since I live in the snowy (yeah right) state of Minnesota.
One of my...
Hook,
I have an '04 and you can disable it just fine.
I bought my sled last year during a snowstorm. Brought it home without a cover on the sled (3 mile trip) Got it home &#^$ wouldn't run, loaded it back on the trailer hauled it back to the dealer, he cleaned out the switch laughed at me...
Your OBDII Diagnostics unit they range from about $250 to $550 it's about all you need.
By the time we figure out what system Yammy is using, someone will be doing a hand held diagnostics unit and we'll have chip manufacturers coming out our ears for these things.
Eventually even "spare"...
I'm with 24x on this one...
Although I think you guys have at least 4 or 5 more pages of debate before LB will finally cry "uncle" yeah like that will ever happen.
:o|
Consider the propensity for failure. The FI systems are less prone to failure not because of a lack of complexity but...
They were/are definitely pre prod.
The plastic on them was horrible. The shrouds around the backend of the Apex were poorly trimmed and the paint was really thin. I asked one of the sales guys there if this was how they were going to come he smiled and in broken english said "no, these only...
I sat on the new chassis' in Brooklyn Park.
To be honest I tried all the "normal" positions and felt little or no difference. Always ride with the nugeys as far forward on the hard moguls so I wanted to see if the gas tank felt any different. To me it was very much the same position as a...
