I am going with a similar set up this year but bought the Ram ball mount that sticks on by adhesive. Hopefully it’s stays put.

I had a broken shift pad on my 2012 but it was caused by the bushing being worn on the upper gear. The bushing should be ok with that low mileage.

They are just regular deep groove ball bearings. Wouldn’t a self aligning bearing be more like a wobble bearing?
