    Dupont or Cat Vespel Slides??

GR8BBQ......You are correct on the price. Local Cat dealer needs $160 each or $320/pair plus tax for the Tiger slides, which are white/black. Not sure I'm crazy about this color scheme? Yamaha dealer is $84 each or $168/pair plus tax for the older all black ones. Looks like this is the...

    Dupont or Cat Vespel Slides??

Arctic Cat now sells Vespel Slides for $120/pair. Part # 440-09105 Are these better than the Dupont slides we've been using for years at $175/pair? Part # SMA-8JPDP-SS-00 Is there a reason to NOT go with ones from cat that are cheaper? It appears the inserts in the Cat slides are at a 60...

The higher/updated spindles on the 25 will ride/handle better than the 19. Even though the spindles are higher, the 25 will corner flatter with less roll and ski lift. Unless you are looking to create Guinness Book speed records, imo changing your 25 to mimic your 19 will not be a good return...

    O2 Sensor/Wideband Issues

The new wideband module I ordered from TD arrived yesterday. I plugged it into my sledi and....BAM....it worked like a charm. The sled is fixed. Again ....I tried the new wideband module that I wired with the factory plugs. Still no go. I tested the original O2 Sensor that I had in the...

Yes, some wear and tear on the wheels from studs, as previous owner studded the track. I pulled off the 1.25 and installed a leaner SRX track. Now.....it's got one stud.....me.....the driver!! Lol

I've had the same thoughts......using an oscillating tool to cut them, but was afraid to jack it up. You might have the opportune time in the short future to to test your cutting skills on a section of bad track. Keep me posted on the results.

I cut mine up to the quiet pads, so the track measures 14.25 inches. If I could invent a way to nicely cut off the quiet pads I would, but the jury is still out. I haven't been able to measure how much difference cutting the track makes, but I'll say......it doesn't slow it down.

Great point Fatchance. Sometimes when traffic is slow on TY, I comb through the forums on Spacebook and acquire a renewed appreciation for this site. Some of the tricks they share there........I just chuckle and shake my head Recently, there was a guy advertising a straight 35 helix, which...

    Sidewinder Year to Year Performance

True story.... March of 2019 I was slated to take a 5 day saddlebag trip. The weather turned sour and the weatherman was calling for warm temps and rain. I cancelled my trip, but was stuck talking my vacation time. The first day of my vacation it was raining and 40 degrees. With nothing else...

I agree with RH. Imo....the 19s are about 2-3 mph faster than the other years. The 19 SRX had different rails than other models. It sat lower to the ground, the skid was flatter, the frontend had different spindles that made it sit lower, which was conducive for speed. Once in the 140s, the...

    ADAPT Verses TAPP

Great question: My initial reasoning to running the Yamaha primary was because I had plenty of weights to tune the Yamaha primary. It worked well, but in my opinion the belt temps were higher than I liked when operating the sled spiritedly. I was using stock Yamaha weights with larger helix...
