    How many of the original 03 RX-1M guys are still out there?

    I still pop in here from time to time. I see RX-1s for sale now and I keep thinking should buy one again. The RX-1s are now getting pretty inexpensive and I really enjoyed mine the 8 seasons I rode it. This is a great forum. How could I possibly stay away. ;)! ;)!

    Geo Mod on Cat Suspensions

    I have done the GEO mod on my 09 M8 and it rides better, doesn't trench and is easy to do. I highly suggest the mod. Frosty

    Fitting an AC skid to a RX1

    I put a 141 M7 skid on mine. I ran a 144" finger track for a while, a 159 x 16 Skidoo track and then when I saw how awesome a 16 wide track worked on the sled I went to a 162 x 16 camo extreme and loved it. Of course, I had to use rail extensions to fit the longer tracks.

    using drop brackets

    I sold my RX-1M but, I still have the template for building the rear drop down brackets. I haves ent tracings to a lot of people around the globe. If someone that still has a RX-1 wants the original, I will send it on to you.

    RX1 mods for deep snow

    Get some Yamaha Mountain skis, a 153" Cat M series rear skid and a 162 x 16 Camoplast Extreme track. Raise your bars up using a RX-1 Mountain throttle cable and riser blocks or taller bars from the 05 RX-1M. You will need the leverage of the taller bars to be able to move the snowmobile around.

    Handling and such comparison.

    For me after I sold my RX-1 along with the weird little quirks of its fuel delivery system, I wouldn't even consider a carbed sled again. It seems I was always synching and cleaning the pilot jets on my RX-1 and it still had weird things going on when running sometimes. I like the simplicity and...

    Carb loosing prime

    Mine did the same thing. In fact, many of my motorsports toys do the same. My TTRs are horrible for this. Anymore, if I haven't started a machine in a while I give it a shot or two of spray carb cleaner directly into the airbox before attempting to start the machine. It works very well. The...

    Need a set of Stock Ntro MTX Drivers

    Guys, do any of you have your stock Nytro Drivers laying around? i know many of you went to Avid or Wahl Brother Extroverts. I have a Nytro MTX rear skid and a 153" Maverick I put under my son's Mountain Max and I plan to do the same to my wife's Phazer 500. I already have the skid and the...

    RX OIL CONSUMPTION

    I think it depends on how the sled was broken in when new. If you (or the previous owner) took at least some care in trying to break in the sled, you more than likely shouldn't have an oil consumption problem. I never burned much oil with mine. Heck, I don't know if I burned any but, I didn't...
