    2"or 1.75" track for XTX

Very happy with the 1.6" ice cobra, no need to change anything in tunnel. Works great on and off trail. Last year in 3-5' of powder held its own, just stay on the throttle. If I were doing mountains and serious off trail, can't beat how 2" paddles spit out snow. A 1.75" would be good too if...

    2009 Nytro Front End+ Rebuild

Heading to the Forks (ME) this weekend, sitting on mine last night, love the higher seating position. Amazing 2" feels so different. I do need to get a throttle extension, hard right turn and throttle does the yellow triangle for a few seconds... Hate that light!!!

    Advice Wanted...... Track Options!!

Agree, on anything icy all the way to moderate off trail fun works well. Not for deep deep stuff where a 2" paddle is perfect but all around seems just right : )

New to me 08 Nytro - bad darting

Yamaha released geometry in 2008 that was optimal for their factory riders. For us means worn parts quickly unless you fix the pressure points on suspension. In 2009 they made a dramatic front suspension change by relaxing the spindles by full degrees, rare to make such an error on a...

    Ski spindle bushings shot

The Hurst synthetic adhesive spray hinge grease seems to solve the wear issue due to dry surfaces on those parts. I hit it with a light spray, barely any, every few rides as part of my prep and greasing skid and the spray go s on like wd40, really penetrates, then evaporates leaving a sticky...

    Ski spindle bushings shot

I wanted to go that route and would now but at the time I had a super restricted budget. I am happy with the Oilite front end, SB pins and shims and Bergstrom full triple point system. Keeps the aggressive on top of it Nytro handling but keeps things one step back from the 2008 hair raising...

SB Comfort Clutch VS BOP Soft Start Spring

My understanding is the smaller roller in conjunction with the right spring and fly weights makes things work well at low rpm and not give up,anything at higher rpm. Some here can confirm but smaller rollers is for top end I believe. I can call Chris at SB, he told me originally. Also that...

    Ski spindle bushings shot

I learned that Nytro geometry everywhere puts a lot of pressure on bushings. I did all new, every metal or plastic bushing, entire sled at 15000 miles, my front end + thread details all. New 2013 front end 3 piece spindle knuckles, steering knuckles, Oilite bushings on A arms and ski spindles...

SB Comfort Clutch VS BOP Soft Start Spring

On page 7 of my front end plus rebuild thread I documented my SB clutch update, smaller rollers reduce start up RPM from 4200 to 2900. My post: "Primary clutch assembly night... Longer explanation as lots of details. First, I want to thank Chris Schmidt at Schmidt Brothers...

    Strange application for a Nytro

I learned early on, when you start a Nytro, minimum throttle and let her warm up... If I even touch my throttle during warm up better be prepared to stay on it, on mine if you let off it will bog and stall and is tough to restart. If I let it totally warm up, no issues rest of the day... Not...
