The 850 doo was actually quicker than the cat and the 850 polaris was faster than the cat. The cat was .02 faster in speed on one run against the doo. After the dealers touched them they got worse times. Racing my 850 doo against my buds cat 800 its fairly close. I can seem to pull him...
My first thought was what clutchmaster stated also, so i'm rolling with that. Just seemed weird with all the 4 stroke sleds I've owned since 09 that I haven't seen this before. I know some motors have an auto decompression feature to aid in starting but didn't think this yami did. It...
Those looking to fill the chaincase all the way on the sight glass. I can tell you from personal experience that anymore than 3/4 way it starts to spit it out the breather tube slowly on the top back side.
I took the winder out of storage this year and installed a new track. After getting it all back together I went to put the belt on it and noticed that I could turn the primary over super easy. Barely any resistence which instantly freaked me out. I went to turn it over and it sounded weird...
I have also found the xs belts to be the best in testing those same belts, mostly for consistence. My winder clutches run pretty cold to warm, but I also found it to better on the 850 also and those clutches run hot hot.
I'm not sure why you think I have any chaincase woes or problems. I was simply stating my experience with my sidewinder which agrees with your statement on a loose chain is better. Mine was very loose and everything was perfect inside.
And I didn't have a silent chain on my AC turbo's. I ran...
I just opened my 17 winder up after 2000ish miles. I installed a 22 tooth scott taylor gear and syn tranny fluid when new. The stock chain was very tight to get on with the 22-41 setup but figured it's new it will loosen. I never checked or adjusted my chain or chained fluid, was too lazy to...
I use synthetic tranny fluid. Switched to this in 2013 after the first bushing failure left me hanging. Been using this for over 10,000 miles now in 3 different sleds with this chaincase. No issues.
Apparently you can't read. I purchased a new 2020 850, sold my 18 with 4100 miles on. I know the 2 stroke game. Yes if only talking motors that goes to the sidewinder. I love my sidewinder but my personal experience owning 3 of these cat chassis since 2012 with over 20,000 miles on them, yes...
You need both. I'm waiting on my second 850 to come in and still have my 290hp winder. 4100 miles on my 18 850 and 2000 on my 17 winder. You just can't beat that raw hp pull of the winder on the rivers and lakes, but hitting 50 this year and the 850 is just so much easier on riding and fun on...
I've look at all the places selling it and no one has pictures of the inside to confirm it doesn't have quiet lugs or list them. Just want to make sure it doesn't. I would assume it doesn't since it's sold for all brands and quiet lug is an AC thing.
