I bought my 2012 xtx with around 5000 km on it and have never changed nor had any problems with bearings yet. Thinking maybe now that I’m nearing 14 thousand km I should look into it. Trying to decide if I should just get the dealer to do the job or is it not too bad? Can they be changed with...
My sled came with the HIDS, pretty sure they are just ones you can buy from most Yamaha dealers. I’ll have a look and see if I can find the brand, or else I’ll just order a whole new kit of HIDs and put them in. Not sure how much of a hassle changing all the wires is. Pretty sure the ballast is...
Last season my HIDs started shutting off randomly sometimes and coming back on. Continually doing this for a couple months. I checked wires, wiggled things around to see if it was a connection problem but couldn’t seem to figure it out. One would just cut out randomly and usually come back on...
Some people say they have come off in the snow so I thought if I could add something extra to hold it on, too expensive to lose lol just don’t know if the edging of the vents are too soft or I’d they are a bit harder to grab a rivet
was thinking of putting on frogskin vents and riveting through the outside edge of the vent with a washer on each side to help keep the stick on vent in place. Anyone use these vents? Are they thick enough around the edges to rivet? Thanks
I recently covered up the space between the headlight casing and hood cover so I am not getting air from there to the rad. Temp light was on and off on a ride in -10C, i bought 4 frog skin 1 inch circular covers I think I might put by the speedo but also bought four 4.5”x1.125” vents and...
Hello, I was thinking of putting some foam seal tape around the headlamp or hood to stop snow from getting in around there. I have vent screens over every other opening but still have lots of snow getting in, gotta close that space a bit. It’s so open. Could anyone please measure the space on...
I have MBRP Header with Skinz super Q muffler, from what I’ve heard the stock air box gets lots of flow and you can bring down fuel economy a lot and make it not run as smooth by putting holes in the cover with the screens. so just leaving that. running NGK Iridium IX plugs
I was wondering if it is worth it to get a fuel controller? Easy to adjust and don’t want to deal with going onto a computer like you need to do with the PCV. Are These fuel controls easy to manually set even with out any fuel air sensor?
I’ve looked everywhere online and there’s nothing for Nytro intake mods besides the holes in the cover. Where can I get an intake? I already upgraded to super Q and MBRP header
After putting the MBRP header on I have no more hesitation off the start. Use to bog down a little bit when you’d first touch the throttle but now has that power back. Put in CR9EIX spark plugs and copper donuts
Oh jeez yea I heard other stories of those headers cracking, terrible. MBRP header apparently doesn’t change the sound much anyways but I like mine loud, gets muffled when you got your helmet on anyways lol , sweet I can’t wait to get it on and get some ice and snow
