Found the problem guys, it was one of two things 1) Rivots that hold the cooler pipe between the two back hoses were loose and that pipe was really rattley 2) One of the two cross brackets that run down the twinned pipes before the muffler was broken, fixed both... rattle gone... Thanks for all...
Just got the sled fired up today and I have picked up a rattle in the exhaust around the back of the sled, sounds like a gaurd or baffle vibrating when its idling and goes away when its reved up, has someone had the same issue? Thanks :yam:
Yeah, mabey next year, is there a little more aggressive weight and spring I could try in it to make it pull harder ? Im trying to keep the family sleds (4) running so mine always gets worked on last, so I havent really had the time to test with it yet!
They were putting 3or4 lenghths at 1300 ft I was right there at 1000 ft Im not going to right this sled off that quick ,as underpowered and too heavy, it has great potenial to be much quicker and still trailable. Thanks
Need to go a little quicker from 90-100 thats all , I realize its heavy and doesnt have big horsepower but im not going to pic on smaller sleds either, it is 1000cc, so I have to run accordingly or close,, everybody got to start somewhere
Went out for the first time since I bought it to do a little racing on the lake with my 03 RX1 and really didnt figure I had a chance with the big boys (mach1000, 800 xp 800 rev ) but i was really surprised the old rx held its own out there against well clutched sleds, problem I am having it is...
Iwent from bad to worse, I lost hand and thumb warmers today would it be the resistor and where would it be located or can someone come up with something else??
Thanks for all the input ,can someone tell me where the resister is located for the grips and is there a fuse .if I have to disable them for a day or two?
Yes the grips were working ok, do they usually get real warm and when I adjusted them to cooler setting and shut the sled off they would be on high again when I restarted, is that normal ? And thanks for the pages!!
Had the 03 RX1 out today and it worked perfect -20 all day ,went to put it in garage and the warning light and engine indicator were flashing together what appeared to be a 2 code ,coolant , oil ok, everything looks alright. I went on this site and found the codes for the RX and it says...
I have read some articles on the web that the stock pink is too thick and will coil bind before full shift out can someone verify this or is it false info??
I want to try a green spring in the rear clutch what would be a good starting point using stock weights and spring in prim..,, I think 60 is OEM for pink rear..... and green is a softer spring......... or is stock spring the better choice??
Thanks for all input guys I ordered a new 68 link chain and a 22 also with the 23 gear so if a try the 22 Ill have the shorter chain, when I take out the bolt in the lower gear does reverse gear and the drive gear come off all together or is there something I should look for?? also is the upper...
