The benefits of letting it idle down are understood. However it doesn't explain why it needs throttle to restart. Acts as though it is somewhat flooded.
If my sled is shut off before the engine has idled down, it won't start up without giving it a bit of throttle. No issue if you wait until it is idling at 1500, fires without issue. Sled also starts very well when it is cold.

While riding yesterday I noticed the chain case site window was gone and obviously all the chain oil. Not sure how long it had been missing and didn't drive it any further.
I have no idea how this happened and have not heard of this problem before....has anyone else?
I have a Sidewinder on spring order and have been wondering about windshields. "snowbeast"...could you post a side view of your sled? That would give me a better idea of the windshield height.

Mine went on the weekend, 5000 miles. I'm putting in the same hub (factory) but it comes with replaceable bearings. Also installing the fourth wheel kit so if a bearing goes in the future I can limp home.
