The 7000 is the same as the SR Viper, right? only different plastics. In that case, it should have a breather box/oil separator over the oil tank that could give you some trouble over time, the moisture causes it the ball inside to freeze up. If memory serves, you will have two hoses to the oil...

I don't know if your model needs the reflash like the previous ones (at least 15-16) did. This was supposed to make it start easier, but my 16 had no trouble before that reflash. Wonder if anyone has figured that one out..

I have very good experience with the Yuasa batteries on my Viper and Sidewinder. One of them lasted almost 10 years (new owner didn't trickle charge it). Swapped to anti-gravity to save weight, not a good choice at -30°C.

Mine (270hp tuned) has done this since brand new, every now and then. Seems to get a little better with warmer temps, but still does it. While cold it can sometimes roll before the RPMs drop.

Check all wheels for alignment and damage, maybe check for even wear on the hyfax. It is noisy on a stand, but should be much more quiet out in the field.

I had a crack in the exhaust shield and the tank started to melt. I think the outer layer was somewhere between 2-3mm thick. Luckily there was a white inner layer! You could apply some plastic padding/spacle to cover up the groove?

Reading that mega thread I think you're onto something. The fuel pickups aren't directly connected to the pump. A return line reroute should help

Shortening the pickups would mean you get them further back, picking up fuel at hard pulls and steep angles, no? Not sure if how much it would affect downhill riding though

I've only been recommended to overfill the oil tank a little, it helped on the Viper. Wonder if shortening the fuel pickups would work.

I used to have an Alpha, and that track was by far the best I've ever used. I heard they use this track on other sleds, but I'm not sure how the clips would stick. I might give that a try..

Try disconnecting taillight (connector should be under seat?). You could also try pulling the gauge, then put it somewhere warm overnight.

It's not difficult on these, but can be a bit tricky with the brake disc. Take pictures of all parts before you remove them from chaincase. Best to remove the brake caliper in order to get the disc off, if I recall correctly. You need to strap both runningboards together at the front when...
