Do NOT run your stock SW with a high flow muffler! You need a tune that is catered to the higher flow exhaust and safely allows for the higher flow through timing and fuel adjustments.

Most likely starter solenoid corroded and stuck engaged.

This is why I think closed loop is essential on a tuned 998s.

We have 4 SWs in our group that ride regularly every week, one is totally stock, 1 Hurricane SM tuned, 1 Hurricane PM tuned, and mine that is Hurricane Header PM tuned. All these sleds are approaching or over 10,000 miles and tuned since new. We just did a 200 mile ride on empty hard pack fresh...

It seems we all hope, speculate, and expect more from the manufacturers then they are ever willing to deliver. A couple prime examples are from BRP. Everyone expected a HO version of Ski Doos 1200....it never happened...when the Mach Z was announced the Ski Doo faithful were foaming at the mouth...

Hopefully what ever engine Cat comes up with it won't sound as bad as the Suzuki 1100!!!! Absolutely worst sounding sled engine ever!

Cat, at least recently, has always built and they also have claimed their flagship sled to be the fastest...surely they are working on something going forward.

The 144" Ice Cobra as a 2.52 pitch on the Camso's specs says its a 2 ply...all the 2.86 pitch length Ice Cobras say they are 1 ply. I really don't expect the Ice Cobra to be as durable as the Back Country has been as it has exceeded all my expectations. I never expected a 1 ply 1 3/4" track to...

So... I have had a Back Country 141 x 1.75" Track on my 2019 Tuned SW since it was new, lots of miles on this track. In NWO we typically don't run studs. I have had for many years a 144 2 ply 1.6 Ice Cobra track and a new drive shaft with 10 x 2.52" drivers ready to convert this sled to a 144...

Just got in from a 300 mile day ride in North Western Ont...trails are still great but we have a big warm up coming.

Maybe swap out the coils or move the number one coil to another cylinder and see if the problem moves with the coil.

I also have a 141" SW. The only 141" track currently available, as far I have found, is the one ply Back Country 1.75" track. I have had this track on my sled since new as the 2019 X-TX LE came from the factory with it. The Back Country on my sled has been excellent and amazingly durable. The...

From what I have read...the uniqueness of the 144" Ice Cobra track is that it is a two ply track unlike the other Cobras all being one ply tracks so I am hoping it is more resilient then your typical Cobra track. I must say the one ply 1.75" Back Country track on my sled has been amazing...tough...
