    Header blanket installed!!

I am wondering on the sled itself, what did you do for the turbo cover etc?

    Header blanket installed!!

Do you have a picture of the heat shielding fully assembled? I managed to crack the stock shielding my first weekend out, curious what it looks like all put together.

    SW clutching and any tips

I doubt there is going to be anything you can do to consistently keep up with a tuned winder using a stock one. I would consider buying a flasher + sm tunes (no hardware changes) then flash the sled back to stock before taking it to the dealer if you are that concerned. Otherwise, you are not...

Re using the stock intake for heat exhaust

Maybe but I would expect it to not be noticeable vs the volume of air going around the sled. And any air that comes out of that vent will be warmed in the engine bay somewhat.

Re using the stock intake for heat exhaust

This year I added an under hood WAI and was looking at the hood and stock intake ducting. I am thinking about just running without the ducting to use that vent in the hood as an exhaust for hot air to escape the engine bay. Can anybody think of any cons to doing this? It seems to me to be a...

2018 XTX, ridiculously unstable on moderately slick surfaces.

Is it the 137 or 141 XTX? I am running a 2018 137 XTX SE and haven't had any issues on the roads.

TY Ride Dates 2021-22 Season!! This will be our 20th Anniversary!!

Oh, I am going for sure. I just might be up later tomorrow not at lunch like originally planned. The trailcams are still looking good enough to me. (That might be the happy flipper withdrawal speaking though)

TY Ride Dates 2021-22 Season!! This will be our 20th Anniversary!!

I will be there with either 2 or 3 people (I have one maybe). Hopefully there is some snow left after today.

Not specific enough with my dealer I guess

Probably a better idea than me using my laptop with a the pdf manual one and proceeding to knock my laptop off the sled ruining the laptop this year.

    Your all time Favorite Sled?

Right now, my favorite is my old 2006 700 Poo Fusion. I know alot of guys hated the sleds but the machine would take almost any 2 stroke in a race after I had it set up. Until blowing the motor up in it never gave me one lick of trouble. Once I have the bugs worked out of the sidewinder, that...

My custom magnetic heated visor + kill switch connector

The connector I used on mine is rated for 10A but is good to ~17A (The wire insulation melts around 18A in a 100F environment) but there are versions of the same connector rated for up to 40A. Unfortunately, I got the magnetic connectors from work where they are used for some very specialized...

My custom magnetic heated visor + kill switch connector

It is a magnetic self mating connector so you don't really need to push it together, it just pulls itself together when you hold the cable near the receptacle. The heated gear connection and kill switch are still an electrical contact but the whole connector is IP69 rated so it shouldn't care...

My custom magnetic heated visor + kill switch connector

I have seen guys adding the Yamaha tether to their machines and ultimately really like the idea of a tether on a 280HP sled with 192 studs in the track in the event of an accident but really don't want to plug in 2 or more things every time I get back on the machine after the rest of my group...
