TORS issue? I had an '05 RX-1 and at one point it started acting up intermittently. My symptoms included backfiring, amongst other things. It would start just fine, but after running awhile, it would act up. Just throwing it out there.
My thumb warmer quit working on my '17 the first season I had it. Replaced under warranty. I added the KIim gauntlets, which are a game changer. I use very thin Klim liner gloves. I have to turn the warmers off on occasion. On my last ride I didn't even have my gloves on with the warmers...
Mine does the same thing, despite new battery install. Much less mileage than yours (4K.) Was told valves may be an issue. I have my doubts due to the lower mileage. But Since you've put 7k more on since your valves were done, is it possible it's ready for a valve job again?
Agree about EFI for Vector. Ours was a 2009 carbed and a challenge to start at times, esp when firing it up for the first time of the season. That was pretty much the only complaint I have about it. Great engine and better upgrade from the previous year's versions. An EPS version is a great...
Apex is 4 cyl (1000 class) and vector is 3 (700 class.) Both engines are solid. Depends on how fast you want to go. Lol. Little maintenance as stated above.
There are a lot more questions to answer for what might be options for you, such as what is your budget? My Yamaha career began with a 1995 pogo stick Vmax 500. I then went to a '99 SRX, '05 RX-1, '06 Apex RTX, and now a '17 Sidewinder LTX-LE. The switch to a 4 stroke was great. I still have...
It is a '15 and would need the reflash. I bought it used a few years ago. I was under the impression it had the reflash, but I'm going to contact the dealer to confirm the next time I have it in for oil change and full check up.
I ended up getting an Interstate. Wasn't planning on it, but it was a Sunday and I was limited on options to just get one quickly. Spent more than I probably needed to, but there were only 3 options in store. I was going to go to Batteries Plus, but someone whom worked previously in the...
2017 LTX LE studded (3 per bar-combo of doubles and singles on inside only.) Sno studs brand. Has treated me ok thus far. (since brand new.) I had never tried doubles until this sled. The only issue is if one's going to tear out, it's going to be a bigger chunk of track vs if it were just...
Just called local dealer. Yuasa is $160 (filled and ready to go.) Ugh. Batteries plus has the following:

We have a '17 Sidewinder LTX LE (shocks w/Kashima coat) and a '15 Viper LTX SE (basic fox floats). I have to say after riding the Viper last weekend, I didn't notice a major difference in ride. I actually thought it did a great job on the not so smooth sections. Granted most of the trails...
