My buddy expirenced alot of the same symptoms you have described after a very cold start up one morning. Long story shot we verified 0 oil psi with manual gauge. It ended up being the oil pump drive socket randomly spinning on pump shaft (hence having occasional psi). The sprocket and pump shaft...
Hopefully it's a faulty oil pressure sensor however my buddy had this same SD85 code after a very cold morning start up. After verifying with a manual gauge 0 oil psi it ended up being the oil pump drive gear spinning on pump shaft. The bad news is it's a PITA to fix, the good news is it's a...
I run the same setup as you minus fresh air intake. I will get the double red lights occasionally on a harder/longer 270hp run even with the TS BOV. I've tried the BOV in recirculation and to atmosphere with no noticeable change in performance or sound. If I plan to run on 270hp for while I add...
That was my first thought too, but it will happen sporadically during the season also. I thought it was a hydraulic valve train(collapsed lifter)but I see a valve lash setting so I was wrong on that.
Mine does this occasionally also. It concerned me at first but not now, it always runs fine.
It's probably something in the valvetrain that briefly affects compression while sitting.
I would have the hose exit through the foot well like most guys do including me. I wouldn't want the oily residue under the hood that will eventually come and the smell of hot oil while riding.
#1 Small amount of oil from breather hose (ROV deleted). Mine does this over time...
#2 Residual oil from an oil change. I've had this happen...
#3 Oil tank seal is leaking. I've had this happen also...
This is a great mod for these sleds,I've done several. I use the zinc rivnuts with stainless fasteners with no rust problems.
Stainless rivnuts and stainless fasteners together scares me a bit....galling.
I was planning to order a 2023 LTX GT EPS this spring until I saw a sneak peek of one.
Gold/Brown color isn't for me. Reminds me of my grandpa's Buick....I'm bummed
Update: Knapp, your idea was pretty close. Turns out that the oil pump sprocket was spinning on the shaft. The bolt was tight but the two flats that mate the sprocket and shaft stripped out.
