I just love this machine. I really need a rack and I don't need any more power. I have the old Yamaha skis the sleds used to come with. I wouldn't want it any other way. My plan is to baby this sled and care for it. Isn't going anywhere.

Why are you getting the VK pro? Unlike that machine, but really dread the idea of getting stuck. I'd argue it's the heaviest sled on the market. Are you getting new? Selling the MP?

Seems like this has remedied itself. No issues last 2 rides at all. I hear the rx-1 would leave little drops from time to time. I've never overheated.

This an excellent response. I'll start messing around and refer to this rwspresp often. I've only added to the resevoir, will see if I can find the overflow tank!

Here's my call: they won't get rid of the venture mp. If anything, they will tweak it. The VK 540 had 2 tweaks in its 26 year run before 2012.

I actually wouldn't mind the vk 540 body with a 4 stroke engine. I like utility sleds. I may look at the VK pro in the next few years once my mp is paid off. Unless Yamaha considers people like me and builds a nice trapping style sled...that's comfortable.

Hey everyone. I opened up my sled yesterday. I hit 127 kilometres an hour. I hammered the throttle for about an hour. Regularly doing 110-120. My buddy says the engine is built for all day full throttle experience. Your thoughts?
