Check your carb springs. A freind had the same problem, changed back to the stock springs from the Holtz ones that were installed and the mileage instantly improved. Tony

I've ridden both front and rear mounts, trails, hills, etc. If the sled is clucthed properly the lag time is almost non existant with a rear mount. Tony

I do, but I find it too front heavy in the powder. Just doesn't weight transfer enough, which is what an m-10 is desinged to do BTW. The sled is a cadillac on the trails and a dream on the rough stuff but I'm just not happy with the powder performance. If I can't make the apex skid work...

I'm looking at picking up a slightly used apex 162"skid for my '03. Problem is that I have a 159 track. Have to do some measuring to see if I can just shorten the front of the rail a bit and move the skid forward an inch or so. Does anyone have the measurments for the stock apex arm...

Hmmm, didn't think loctite would stick around considering the heat involved. I had considered the "squished" looking nuts, but used the nordlocks instead, I may regret that desicion in the end. Time will tell I guess, just not looking forward to having to borrow a shop again to rip the...

I did mine as per yamaha, something like 12 ft lbs plus 120 degrees? I can't remeber the specs off hand. I'm using a headshim though, so that may make a difference Tony

You should plumb it to the carb boot fittings but use all four fittings or your flutter will be very bad. Plumbed into the intercooler you are measuring the pressure before the carbs, it will usually be a pound or two lower at the actual manifold area due to some pressure loss, of course that...
