Looking to give my ol' RX-1 a bit of a refresh. M-10 skid to start, like to do big trips and the old suspension is harder on itself than it is me. What do folks think about them? Better than the stock RX-1 skids??
Also, looking at getting a Powerbloc clutch. It's coming off another 2004 RX-1, just a matter of taking off and putting on. Clutch is new, sled was in a wreck I believe. Anyone know what hardware it takes to get it off? Does a normal Yamaha clutch puller take that off? Or is their a CVTeck/Umatek designated puller for it?
This sled has had a hard life, got it from my old man a long time ago, he bought it new. But she loves to go.. likes playing with 900r's. Just want to keep it working, and working good with a few upgrades.
Thanks in advance, been using this website for years.

according to everyone, almost anything is better than the proaction. you could go with the air wave if $ is not a concern. 06-10 mono shock from an apex or a vector would work as well and travis at barn of parts makes a mount kit to swap them into the proaction sleds.

Okay awesome, thanks. All I read is how easy it is to beat the proaction. Was mostly wanting something less ancient and easier to find parts for.according to everyone, almost anything is better than the proaction. you could go with the air wave if $ is not a concern. 06-10 mono shock from an apex or a vector would work as well and travis at barn of parts makes a mount kit to swap them into the proaction sleds.
Ended up buying a powerbloc clutch and M-10, all of which is coming out of another RX-1. Will put it together this spring and see how it runs next winter!

You do need a cvtech PB clutch puller. The PB 80 clutch works very well.

For sure! I emailed Umatek for the specifications and called to place an order. Within a week they had the puller at my front step. Great service from them. You do need a cvtech PB clutch puller. The PB 80 clutch works very well.
