Kevin you are the best! BTW I was looking after hours!
Pull 2 black ones (or order them) and also I need both seals for the back of my chain case. Also a set of slides.
I'll probably break something else along the way too. I'll stop tomorrow after work, thanks again.

Ok I just spent an hour looking on here for info on wheels. My mono skid has 6 wheels, 2 need replacement because of poor bearings and they aren't replaceable. So what do I do? I've read some nightmares about oversized wheels so I'd rather do the pioneer thing but I NEED 2 Oem style wheels...

.... new 800 in the axys is an evolution of the existing 800, but it has completely new cases. The new cases have the engine mounts built in, at bare minimum. So you can't say it's the same old motor/ cases. There's so much more going on with the new motor, and more info will come out...
well I got it. That little bugger is a PITA but it was kinda fun to disassemble something that is actually engineered well. I ended up taking the gas tank off and the top heat shield to get a chisel in there to get a good whack at it. Never did take the jackshaft out. Bad thing is I wrecked...
I got the Yamaha kit from Port Yamaha for like $45. I thought this was cheap compared to things like bearings, gas, mirror kits, etc. I would never consider using an aftermarket filter unless I knew it was yamaha's supplier. Heck you guys should change oil on my outboard 7 quarts and marine...
this would work fine except I'm screwed. My bearing fell into pieces and the outer bearing race is about impossible to get out. I can't pull from behind because it seats to the bulkhead and the ridge the balls run in are pretty smooth. My chaincase will come apart and shaft will come out...
JACKSHAFT, not driveshaft. (thanks for noticing Thor452) Driveshaft bearing will also get done at some point but this is the jackshaft...behind secondary.
Thought maybe somebody had a special tool to get it apart.
Tors is jumped at the bars and is OK now. Throttle block which is...
So lucky me my jackshaft bearing behind the secondary blew apart this weekend. (3000 miles!!!) At least the season is done for us its 50 outside. I can't believe the only way to get this thing out is to take the entire jackshaft out. Stupid design for sure. Anyone have a short cut? I have a...
I've had a few motors apart. Here is the deal the poo's big twin is made like crap. No alignment pins for the crank bearings. Cheap bearings my crank guy was like $12-15 a CRANK bearing on mine, and used poo ones. This "new" 800 uses the same old cases with a newer light crank. The cases...
are you studded? If so I'm sure 6" duallies would be a nice upgrade. I run 96 studs and 4" duallies. I'm also shimmed the rear of my skis. I have an 08 vector with the monoskid. Strap is pulled 2 holes (don't think this does much as the strap still has some slack in it!) and I am running...
seriously there are so many Polaris motor failures now I'd never consider a new one. Go to hcs and take a look around. You simply won't find that here.
The rear of that thing looks terrible IMO. The nav system is nice until it breaks. I'd rather have a Garmin with a mount so when it breaks I can get a new one for a couple hundred and call it a day. I'll be willing to bet Poo has issues with that Nav system in the 1st couple years.
Welcome. I was introduced on here about 8 years ago when I had a SRX for a few seasons. Then I was on some poos and doos. Now I'm back with a 4 stroke. You will find THIS IS THE BEST SNOWMOBILE SITE IN THE WORLD! IMO dootalk and such don't hold a candle to this site. Tons of knowledge...
Sorry I'm clueless on tuner skis....I just like duallys better. I have seen stuff like this work in the automotive field to fix odd vibrations that are caused in driveline and exhaust. I just don't feel those types of things in my sled. Why work on an issue like this when there are known...
1st off all this for what? Better tracking? But yet new sleds don't come with dual carbides! I'm not buying a sled flexes even close too that much....btw guys we ride 4 strokes, they are heavy and I personally don't feel any odd vibrations through my sled like shown on the video....my Polaris...
Jesus those fixes sound terrible, too nice a sled for that. I work on cars and occasionally we screw up a dash, seat what have you. We have a guy come in that does this kind of thing and it isn't bad price wise. I had a 01 srx I bought used and a friend tore it with his metal boot lace guide...
