Re: Mirrors
If you are looking for the mirrors posted on eBay!, forget about it. I had ordered a set of those last year and they do have the Yamaha logo on there but are not a licensed product. It appears that the mirrors are made in someones garage or shop.

Seems that road salt, dirt and grime get in there and makes it hard to remove.
I ended up using a hammer and chisel to remove one of the screws on my machine. I just hit the chisel on the edge of the screw and it worked just fine.
As stated above, use a #3 Phillips screwdriver.
Thanks everyone for all your great feedback. I guess I will have to take a look at my options and go from there, though it sounds like the old shocks will be going back on the machine.

I had posted this question in another section on the site, but did not get any replies.
I got a pair of GYT-R clickers that came off an Apex. When I put the OEM and GYT-R clicker shock side-by-side, the GYT-R was about an inch shorter.
When I installed the GYT-R clickers on my machine...
I picked up a set of GYT-R clickers for my '03 RX1.
I installed one of the shocks and it doesn't seem to have very much clearance at the top . There is also very little clearance at the bottom as well, where the dial is.
I'd be interested getting your feedback regarding this.
