Carb vent lines plugged? The top of your carb rack black part with iwo screws that holds your spring in (can't remember the part name). There is a diaphragm in there make sure it's sealed. Beside the top of diaphragm there is a small o ring easy to lose. I believe sled well run rough if orings...
You could also remove the sway bar. This makes it much easier to lay these sleds over. Downside is with the sway bar removed makes it a little sketchy at high speeds with stock shocks. I've heard of guys drilling out the bolt and putting a cotter pin in for quick disconnect
i did open the box up exactly the same. it ran strong then i started getting a mid range bog and tried a couple of different things. I did tape up the holes at the back of the air box the ones directly under the carb rack. I used Gorilla tape. I changed the pilots and got rid of the mid range...
FYI, I'm running this mod with 165 mains, 22.5 pilots, needle one clip from the top, stock springs and it's running good. I had a mid range bog and was going to go up to 20 pilots but the dealer only had 2-20 so i went up to 22.5. I run at 300 meters Been running strong. I had to replace the...
This is what I run. I don't pull wood out of the bush put I do play around in the the bush driving slow threw the trees. Stock 03 mnt gearing.

I agree with Pete. I did the relocate and actually took my 2 inch riser off. The relocate is great for the off trail riding. But I do remember telling pete that it wasn't the best for trail riding. I think that's my I took the riser off.
I moved back to the north shore on Superior so I wont be putting the long miles on this season (no groomed trails around here). Will be all off trail hopefully we get some snow soon. All the storms seem to be just missing us. I think I had the front shock spring set fairly lose. This helped...
Good to see your still using the old girl. I have a lot of miles on my sled with narrow front end no issues. I do have the apex mnt skis and have them set out for the widest width I think it adds about a inch or so a side. The last time I replaced the donuts I had to use heat to lossen up the...
I have an 03 rx mnt with a stock front end. I bought the sled with around 5000 km and now have about 15000 km most of the km from trail riding. the sled makes you work in the short and twisty trails but I can keep up with the shorties. I put a zx2 rear skid in the sled and it made a huge...
The ZX2 won't compress that much when you push down on the rear of the sled. If you had the suspension out and pushed from the bottom it would compress. I've been running this skid since it first came out (3 years ago?). Never had any major issues. Had the shock re-valved this summer should...
My buddy rides the same sled your looking at on the trails around Kapuskaisng, ON. It's definitely more work on the trails but when you go off trail or lake/ river running you don't have any issues. The only thing is with the 2 " lug his track is getting chewed up from the trails. And the...
Is everything stock (air box,jets,etc)?
Make sure your not sucking in air on the air box or carb boots.
Make sure the coils still click and hold your plugs. I know you said you never saw the light show but check this. I had two of my coils that wouldn't hold/click onto my plugs any longer...
I'm thinking the reason mine does it is a combination of the mono shock, needing a re-valve and maybe needing a stiffer spring. With about 350 lbs on sled if I hit a good bump the skid just sits down and doesn't rebound. I hope to solve this issue over the summer.
Here's the universal mounting instructions. My mounting plate sits below the tunnel on my 151. The mounting instructions should be able to answer your questions.
I have a mono ZX-2 151 model. I can confirm that the skid does not raise back up easily with two people on it. Full of snow or not if you hit a large enough bump (hole) the skid will compress and doesn't come back up. This was one reason I thought about getting a heavier shock. I'll talk with...
I use a neck brace EVS and a CKX VGK-1 XS full face helmet for my little one. I did use a snowboard helmet in the past because of concerns about neck support.
