    Modified Rx1 Airbox With Pictures

Sled Dog, Sorry for the late reply here. No I never did any clutch tweaking yet. The RPM are a little high on the trails but I'm thinking in the deep snow or slush (hope not) the engine load will keep the RPM's right where they should be.

    Modified Rx1 Airbox With Pictures

Running sled dogs mod with 165 and everything else stock (in the carbs). Pulling strong didn't feel any hesitation or bogs. Also running a under tunnel exhaust with this step-up. Only one 30 km run so far around -10C. I keep updated on this mod when I get more seat time.

    Modified Rx1 Airbox With Pictures

Sled Dog I did this mod at the end of last season. I'm using stock springs, I think I went up to 165 jets. I still haven't taken it for a good run but I'll post when I get more info.

    RX OIL CONSUMPTION

I burn around a liter per 1000-1500 km (1 quart to 600-900 miles). I find I burn if I'm heavy on the throttle. I bought the sled with 5000 km on it and have around 13000 km now. I tried seafoam and it cut the oil consumption down put not enough to make it worth while for me.

    ZX2 136 going too 144

I believe all ZX2 skids come in the 121 form and extensions are add for the longer skids. I have a 151. I'm not sure if you would just set the skid back or buy a different extension. I know the longest is a 151 but they set the 151 back to fit a 162 track.

Lost RPM with Under-tunnel exhaust anyone experience this

Did a high speed run and plugs are every light almost have a light white dusting on them. I'm leery on cutting into the airbox if it's not going to work. Do I have to remove the carb rack to change to large 165 mains.

    Under tunnel exhaust done

note I was missing the mounting harware/ brackets and a couple of wheels on the old skid when I weighed it. 75.5 lbs ZX-2 with everything except the mounting plates 58.5 lbs equals a 17 pound difference. the link http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php? ... hlight=zx2

Lost RPM with Under-tunnel exhaust anyone experience this

No other but exhaust and donuts. I'll take a look at the plugs and see what colour they are. Rock PM'd me and is looking at what a friend of his did with an air box mod.

Lost RPM with Under-tunnel exhaust anyone experience this

I tried the 10.3 al rivets and got back to 10500 on the trail but the top end is still not back. I know as soon as I try to go off trail the RPM will likely drop back down. Could a bad spring cause this I'm running an O-P-O?

Tors or maybe your throttle cable needs adjusting after installing your riser.

Lost RPM with Under-tunnel exhaust anyone experience this

Thanks. I was thinking of going down to 10.3 weights to get the RPM back up. No snow build up around the exhaust that's making me lose RPM or power. I'm thinking that the difference in back pressure has something to do with the lose of RPM. I'll change the weights and report back.

    ZX2 in Apex Mountain?????

Didn't know that about the timber skid but I never did that much research on it. I have about 5000 km give or take on the ZX2 holding up well. I think I'll get it re-valved next year, should have done it this year but time ran out and snow is on the ground. I do bottom out the skid when I'm...

    ZX2 in Apex Mountain?????

I have a 151 in my RX1 Mountain. No issues to date. Thinking of doing a setback to accommodate a 159 track. I think with the new price on the skid I would try a timber skid next time around. I bought my ZX2 when the were first released and picked up at a good price.

Here's mine http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=78248 Mine is 2" glass pack 3" diameter 22" length. I couldn't find a 1 3/4". I really like the sound, no re-jetting so far and feels the same or better on the throttle. I haven't had it out much this year due to other commitments and...

    Will it fit????

It will fit my buddy has the same truck and sled. Hauled it around 800 km to go and pick it up. We strapped the front and back down. Not a problem but a board or two would take some stress off the tailgate.
