Not sure. I have no idea what it's worth.
We could swap the rails and I'll check tomorrow about the track and what a new 153 would be for me.
I have a lead on a used 153 but want to see what shape it's in first.
I like my xtx but do miss the extra floatation that my mtx had.
I'm thinking of stretching my xtx le to 153.
I can get a 153 CE for a good price but would like your thoughts on rail extensions..... What the best are and where to get them.
Also wondering if I'd have to change much in the order of...
Wondering what temperature the coolant temp light comes on.
I know the fan cuts in at 190 but just curious to how high it can go before the light comes on.
Just came on here to post a topic on the same issue.
15 xtx le with vertical steering post as sloppy as hell. 3-4 inches for sure.
Will try the previously mentioned fixes and try it.
All I know is I had the stock exhaust on last year and riding in powder it would bog like crazy.
This year with the max flow/Sandale exhaust it has never bogged even in the deepest powder. That testing for the last 3 days in very deep powder....never once bogged!!
Last year I would avoid turning...
I liked the bop engagement but like the snap of the stock.
I'd rather the snap lol!!
I may try 6-1 just for poops and giggles but like the way it is now.
9000 wot is close enough for me if the limiter is 9100. I bump the limiter once at takeoff but will ride it s bit before adjust the heel
Will a 6-2 secondary wrap affect the rpm or is it just for back shift?
I changed my bop spring back to stock with the BV kit to bring up rpm but changed the secondary wrap at the same time. It seems good now but I'm wonder if it was the spring that brought up the rpm or was it the wrap or...
Tested today with the big venom kit and stock primary spring.
I like the engagement of the bop spring but I found the stock spring has more snap on take off.
Conditions were good, lots of hookup.
The max Rpms are now at 9000.
The sled has way more snap now but bumps the rev limiter at take off...
Ok... I changed the primary back to stock spring instead of the bop and went 6-2 wrap on the secondary.
Just on the stand I can tell the stock spring engages higher but I can live with a little higher engagement if that's what it takes. If that's not enough I will drop some weight in the tip...
Perfect.
I get a lower engagement with the bop spring but never actually tried it on the snow. will try the stock spring first and see if it's good on the snow.
Excellent!!
Thanks guys for the info and advice. I'll try this tonight and test in the am.
Forgot to mention this yesterday but I'm running the bop spring with the big venom kit. Would effect the BV kit and should I switch back to the stock spring?
Thanks again guys!!
Had the first ride with the maxflow and big venom kit.
I like the sound of the maxflow. Not too loud but definitely a deeper tone.
The engagement of the big venom kit is nice and low but I'm still low on rpm. 8500 is the most I can get but the conditions may have a hindered that....10-12 inches...
